The central frame is modular. Axle modules of identical construction are combined to form trios. The supporting frame of the individual axle modules has a protected compressed air tank to supply the air suspension and contributes considerably to flexural strength and torsional stiffness.

We have made use of state-of-the-art methods in designing the gigant ERA. Three-dimensional CAD design and multi-body simulation guarantee rapid development processes. Intense calculation on highperformance computers using the Finite Element Method (FEM) ensures maximum strength and long service life of all components.

The gigant ERA independent suspension is particularly advantageous for tankers, refrigerated containers with suspended meat or container transporters: |
- 300 kilogram less weight compared to conventional constructions means a greater payload.
- Narrower, extremely rigid and torsionally stiff central frame with integrated compressed air tank means greater stability and more installation space.

gigant Running Gear
< Our Running Gear provides unprecedented flexibility for vehicle constructors. Platform, coil, tank, silo or even tipper structures can be placed on the same basic frame thanks to the differently shaped cross members. The low weight means the combination of independent suspension and main frame is particularly suitable for self-supporting tank or silo vehicles which require very high payloads. The gigant independent suspension can also be combined with other frame constructions. |
